Telargo provides real-time ETA predictions to passengers on bus stops as well as those riding the buses. The ETA is calculated from various parameters such as the current vehicle position, statistical history of trips and the average speed on the assigned route. For precise computation of ETA, the Telargo system employs the
Intelligent Transport System - ITS data. In order to further improve arrivals predictions we developed the “
Smart Bus Stop” solution where buses communicate directly with the bus stops via wireless
ZigBee communication thus ensuring unparalleled ETA accuracy.
The aforementioned features of the Telargo system have an essential influence on improving customer service and satisfaction.
Accurate schedule information and ETA predictions are easily accessible on:
- Mobile internet
- Text messages (SMS)
- Public display boards and voice announcements on bus and/or on stop
- Passenger Information Kiosks on stops
- Web
Mobile internet
For passengers with WAP enabled mobile phones, the most widespread method of acquiring arrival information is viewing it via mobile internet pages.

Text messaging (SMS)
Passengers can easily get information using SMS on their mobile phones. At their request, a reply text message is delivered to them, listing the times of arrival for the selected stop.

Passengers can create SMS and receive SMS with estimated times of arrival
Public display boards and voice announcements
Timely visual and audio arrival prediction information is seamlessly provided to passengers riding the vehicles as well as to the ones waiting on the stops. The accuracy of Telargo arrival predictions is further enhanced by the “
Smart Bus Stop” feature where the approaching bus directly communicates with the bus stop via ZigBee wireless connection.
