Postal location management refers to the administration of postal facilities such as post offices, branches, processing and distribution centers, etc. which can be entered in the Telargo Fleet Center, marked with customized icons and arranged into location groups and subgroups.
It allows for enhanced control over the transportation flow between the facilities; combined with geo-zones and event notification, is a very powerful tool for monitoring movements to and from the locations and delivery areas.
Each and every defined location can be included in system position processing. This results in:
- Customised location description:
- All vehicle- and driver-dependant data is viewable on the Telargo Fleet Center and other system modules: SOS button position description, driver login position description, sensor value event position description, package delivery position description.
- Information acquired from external sources is enriched with position data from the Telargo system; additional position descriptions (refuelling cost information acquired through automated ERP system forwarded from fuel card systems) is enhanced with the position description specified when the location/area on the Telargo Fleet Center Portal was created.
- Location-dependant reports:
- All vehicles by mailbox departure/arrival
- Vehicle group report by Post offices or Processing and distribution centres
- Detailed trip section analysis by mailbox, post office, pick-up/drop depot
- Other system parts:
- the Logistics pick-up/drop positions description is shown according to a user-entered customer description to optimise presentation and improve usability for fleet managers
- the description of custom routes highlights the driver’s route pattern and outlines local traffic situations
