Accurate, safe and reliable communication between office personnel and mobile workforce is necessary for successful fleet operations.

Telargo Service provides sound, highly reliable and effective communication solutions, enablingtwo-way voice and message communication between the users of Telargo Fleet Center portal and mobile workforce using on-board Telargo Handsets.

Messaging
Messaging is an effective and inexpensive method of communication, allowing significant cost reductions and valuabletime savings when coordinating multiple vehicles.




Fleet
Center to Workforce messaging:
TelargoFleetCenter portal supports Driver groups creation, allowing simultaneousbroadcast of short messages to multiple drivers, vehicles and portal users. Besides the Telargo Handset, messages can also be sent to mobile phones, PDAs and other compatible devices. Using on-board printers, drivers can also print received messages.

Every message sent from and to the Telargo Fleet Center as well as acknowledgement of receiving and/or reading a message is archived along with it’s time and location information. An optional printing and read acknowledgment confirmation can be requested.



Messages can be sent from the Telargo Fleet Center to various vehicles simultaneously, including “Read” acknowledgement and printing requests.


Messages received on the Telargo Fleet Center from the Telargo Keypad or other sources. User is informed of the message’s author, its content, exact time & location of reception, etc.


Workforce to Fleet Center messaging:
The Quick Messaging feature of the Telargo Handset allows drivers to send up to 10 predefined messages to the Telargo Fleet Center with a single push of a button. This provides them with a safe and quick communication method for commonly used messages. The Alarm Key safety feature allows drivers to send high priority alarm message including time and location of the event to the Telargo Fleet Center in case of mechanical, security or other emergencies. The Alarm Key can also be hidden elsewhere inside the vehicle.

Voice communication

Apart from ordinary dialing of phone numbers, the Quick Dial function allows drivers to dial numbers from the Phonebook with a single push of a button, while the hands-free kit enables them to safely communicate while driving.

Phonebook administration allows centralized control over phone call expenses. Each On-Board Unit can be equipped with a customly configured Phonebook to allow:
  • all incoming/outgoing calls
  • only incoming/outgoing calls from numbers in the Phonebook
  • no incoming/outgoing calls
