OVERVIEW
Security
All data that travels through Telargo Service is secure, including data transfer to and from the vehicles, data collection and storage in the Telargo Fleet Center and the distribution of information to users. Security procedures are transparent to the users and do not obstruct their work.

All database information is secured by sophisticated encryption mechanisms. Servers are located in secured areas and kept under constant surveillance. Access to the servers is limited, both physically and through communication channels. Special care is taken so that the data is safely archived. Back-up tapes are stored in the vault following security specifications.

Information from the Telargo System is available to users over the Internet once they have identified themselves with a username and a password. Passwords are stored encrypted on the server. Each user’s security credentials are provided by the client’s designated administrator.
