Bandwidth
Telargo takes full advantage of NTT Communications' Tier One Network, which provides maximum direct paths, routing options, and private peering points.  With these features, there are fewer hops, fewer delays and less packet loss.

NTT Verio guarantees high performance, with OC3, OC12 and OC48 circuits, and 24/7/365 network tracking by the Network Operations Center.  NTT Verio utilizes the latest enterprise-class technologies such as Cisco and Juniper Networks router technology.

Security
Client information collected via the Telargo tracking technologies is securely transmitted and stored in databases, allowing analysis of various metrics, measures and status.
Our databases incorporate the requirements of its clients, federal guidelines and industry standards to provide data security and privacy using the best of modern technology. A security and privacy plan requires both products and processes to prevent any compromise of client data. These processes require continual review and adjustment; as such, Telargo is committed to the ongoing inspection and enhancement of our data security and privacy position.

Security Architecture

Telargo's information databases use a security architecture that involves three different areas of protection:

  • physical site security
  • network level security
  • application layer security

Physical Site Security

Telargo has developed a site security system consisting of comprehensive physical controls and multi-layered internal network safeguards. The core of the system resides in a premier data center under the physical and administrative control of NTT/Verio, one the world’s largest telecom and data service providers. The data center is protected by intrusion alarms, biometric devices, mantraps, surveillance cameras and round-the-clock onsite security personnel.

Network Level Security

Telargo’s network perimeter access is controlled by proxy firewall mechanisms and around-the-clock intrusion detection.

Application Level Security
The Telargo Fleet CenterApplications use Web servers that process HTTPS (secure HTTP) transactions from Web clients using the Internet. The Web servers authenticate the initial identification of a user, which remains active during a transaction session.

The Telargo technology platform ensures the authenticity, integrity and confidentiality of client records during transmission. To meet this requirement, the Telargo technology platform employs an encrypted hypertext transmission protocol using secure sockets layer technology (HTTPS).

Client information is collected by the platform as often as necessary, through connection of the Telargo client interface to the Telargo technology platform. Individual clients are uniquely identified and verified before data transfer occurs, and all unverified connections are logged and tracked.
